Everton’s final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer after victory vs Man United
Everton’s hopes for European football have almost doubled following their sensational win over Manchester United.
The Toffees battled to a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on Monday, with David Moyes finally breaking his curse against the Red Devils.
Everton want to achieve European football and have taken steps in the right direction following the win over Ruben Amorim’s side.
Players showed fight for Moyes, having gone down to 10 men early, but Opta proves that there’s still work to be done for the Toffees despite an increase in chances for success.

Everton have a 5.96% chance of qualifying for Europe
After Everton beat Fulham 2-0 before the international break, the Blues were predicted to finish 13th in the Premier League
The Toffees were given a 3.15 per cent chance of qualifying for Europe, but now things have changed.
Opta believes that following Everton’s colossal result against United, Moyes‘ side has a 5.96 chance of qualifying for European football.
- Everton have a 3.03% chance of reaching the Champions League
- The Blues have an expected points of 51.03
- Everton are still predicted to finish 13th
Unsurprisingly, Everton also have a 0.01 per cent chance of winning the Premier League.

The odds may still seem a little harsh on the Toffees, but Moyes has the blueprint for success now.
David Moyes needs to keep playing Thierno Barry
Thierno Barry was suggested to start against the Red Devils for the pace that he could offer Moyes.
The head coach did indeed opt to play the Frenchman up top, and in the end, it paid dividends, but for his aerial prowess instead.
Barry had his best performance yet, and sent a message to Moyes on why he needs to start week in week out ahead of Beto.
The striker can offer Moyes the perfect balance to link the rest of Everton’s attack together, and in doing so, the Toffees will keep making strides towards their dream.
