Natan ‘meets requirements’ at Everton as pressure increases on £26m January transfer
Everton are stepping up their interest in signing Real Betis defender Natan in the January transfer window.
David Moyes has been without Jarrad Branthwaite for the entirety of this campaign, while Michael Keane is now an injury worry after missing out on the Toffees’ draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The Blues want to be successful this season, but injuries are starting to pile up with defenders, which could prompt a big-money transfer in January.
Everton have been quoted £26million for the signing of Natan, but recent reports suggest that figure isn’t a problem for the Toffees, who are now accelerating their attempts to secure the Brazilian.

Everton are ‘ready’ to sign Natan in January
Everton have had a £107m influx of funds from their majority shareholders, Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, with new signings in mind.
Natan reportedly “meets requirements” at Everton and could be the man that the Toffees go all out for in the January transfer window.
- Natan has played 14 times for Real Betis in La Liga this season
- He’s a left-footed centre-back
- Natan led Real Betis to the Europa Conference League final last campaign
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Everton are increasing the pressure on striking a deal that brings Natan to Merseyside in January.
The Toffees are now “ready” to compete for his signature, with Leeds also in the hunt for the 24-year-old.
Moyes is after a defender who offers immediate solidity and can grow within the project, as Natan is said to fit both requirements.
The centre-back is believed to be open to moving to the Premier League, and an initial offer could be submitted once the window opens.

However, Branthwaite’s situation cannot be ignored amid increasing interest in Natan.

Why Jarrad Branthwaite could leave Everton
Brathwaite has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, with the Toffees hopeful of his return in January.
But his return date is convenient, especially considering clubs have shown interest in Branthwaite previously.
It feels like either the 23-year-old’s hamstring issue is more serious than what’s being said, or Everton have admitted defeat in his sale.
It’s hard to tell at this point, but if Branthwaite is due to make his comeback next month, why are Everton wanting to spend £20m plus on another centre-back?
