David Moyes needs to phone Isaac Heath immediately after unfortunate scenes away from Everton
Everton youngster Isaac Heath has been in fine form for Accrington Stanley so far this season, but missed their decisive penalty in their FA Cup shootout on Saturday.
The 21-year-old is the Toffees’ reigning Under-21s’ Player of the Season and was sent out on loan to the League Two outfit to gain more experience.
So far, Heath has been a tremendous success at Accrington Stanley, and has nine goal contributions in 16 appearances so far.
This includes another goal on Saturday, as he opened the scoring against Mansfield with a first-time finish.
However, the day would end on a sour note as he missed Accrington Stanley’s final penalty in the shootout as they crashed out of the FA Cup in the second round.

David Moyes needs to look after Isaac Heath after penalty shootout miss
While it was unlikely that Accrington Stanley would go through anyway after they club missed their previous two spot kicks, Heath will no doubt be gutted not to convert his penalty.
Owen Mason would save the winger’s penalty on to the post, in what was an unfortunate incident.
With Heath still being as young as he is, it is possible for this to affect him in a negative way and be the catalyst towards a possible decline in form.
Therefore, Moyes should look to phone the Everton loanee and offer him words of encouragement.
This could help boost his motivation and confidence further and help turn heighten his development despite the penalty miss, especially after Heath was recently labelled “quality” by the Accrington Stanley manager, John Doolan.
How have Everton’s other loanees been performing?
Elsewhere, Harrison Armstrong is also enjoying a successful loan at Preston.
The midfielder netted a late equaliser on Saturday to help the Championship outfit earn an important point in their promotion push.
Martin Sherif, Francis Okoronkwo and Tyler Onyango are all also out on loan to multiple League One outfits, with Onyango perhaps having the most success.
The midfielder will be hoping to win promotion to the Championship with Stockport County, who are currently fifth in the table.
