Everton star is outperforming Phil Foden in key metric, Thomas Tuchel must take note
Jack Grealish is making the right steps towards an England call-up this summer.
While Everton have their ambitions this season, several of those helping the Toffees meet them will also have goals of their own.
Iliman Ndiaye will be looking to make waves at AFCON in December, while several others will be looking to strengthen their case to make the squad for their country in this summer’s World Cup.
Grealish is going to be one of them, and Thomas Tuchel simply must be taking note of what he is achieving at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Stats show why Jack Grealish simply has to be on the plane
Grealish has been outstanding for Everton since he arrived from Man City in the summer, just like everyone expected him to be.
His time under Pep Guardiola was tough for the Englishman, and the main reason behind that is that Grealish is known to be at his best when he is the star of a team, and at Everton, he is.
So far this season, the 30-year-old has six goal contributions in the Premier League, and while that may be two fewer than Phil Foden, his stats beyond that showcase his true qualities.
Only Jeremy Doku and Bruno Fernandes have created more chances than Grealish, who has 29, two more than Foden.
Added to that, Sofascore have Grealish as having completed 14 dribbles so far this season, which is more than double what Foden has achieved.

Grealish also offers far more off the ball, with 76 duels won compared to Foden’s 42.
Given his form this season, Foden is nailed-on to be starting for England if he can keep it up, but this demonstrates that Grealish is just as deserving of a place in the squad.
What has Thuchel said about Grealish?
While he may not have featured for Tuchel at England, the former Chelsea boss has still spoken highly of the qualities the Everton star has to offer.
Back in March, as quoted by The Standard, Tuchel said: “I love Jack. As a headline, I love Jack. I love everything about him. I love his personality, I love his quality.
“The guy has courage, he can take the heat, he’s not afraid of the Bernabeu whistles when he’s on the ball, it does not affect him, and if it affects him only does in the best way.
“So is he a player that should be available and can have an impact in our squad? Yes, 100 per cent.“
