PGMOL to reach out to Nottingham Forest in James Tarkowski and Everton reveal

James Tarkowski may avoid retrospective punishment for his foul as Everton beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The defender was involved in a controversial incident early on as David Moyes got the better of Sean Dyche on 6 December.

Tarkowski was arguably lucky to avoid a yellow card after barging into Dan Ndoye in the 11th minute of the game.

VAR didn’t intervene after the on-field decision, but the Tricky Trees have expressed their disappointment regarding the incident.

Nottingham Forest to get PGMOL explanation after Everton decision

Forest have written to the PGMOL regarding Tarkowski’s foul, but they may not get what they are hoping for.

Mark Clattenburg doesn’t believe any action will be taken against the English centre-back now, and that decision could be explained to Forest.

The former Premier League referee has claimed that PGMOL may reach out to the Tricky Trees to explain Chris Kavanagh and VAR’s reasons for not sending the defender off.

Clattenburg told Everton.News on 10 December: “Tarkowski will not be retrospectively punished for the barge in the back of his opponent in the recent Everton and Forest match. Forest have written to the PGMOL, and this will lead to the management of PGMOL reaching out and explaining why the red card was not issued.”

Forest were beaten fair and square at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and they should take the loss and learn from it.

The Tricky Trees are slowly becoming one of the most disliked teams in the Premier League under Evangelos Marinakis, thanks to their recent antics.

Sean Dyche embarrasses himself after Hill Dickinson Stadium loss

Moyes has shown Dyche his shortcomings at Goodison Park, with the Scottish manager turning things around since taking over from the former Burnley boss.

The English head coach is back in the Premier League with Forest, who are trying to avoid relegation this season, and he’s got a big task on his hands away from Everton now.

Instead of taking lessons from the defeat, Dyche opted to talk about the Tarkowski incident post-match, saying: “I said to big Tarky just to be clear, and I respect him and like him as a bloke, I said to him, how he got away with that in the first half, I don’t know what’s going on there.”

The former Toffees boss should take the loss at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on his chin and focus on winning valuable points for the Tricky Trees, who are just two points off the relegation zone.
