Alan Brazil surprises himself with Everton reveal live on air – ‘That’s unbelievable’

Everton are in red-hot form under David Moyes, much to the surprise of Alan Brazil.

Thierno Barry scored his first goal for Everton as the Toffees beat Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, and they will be looking to continue their impressive recent run in the Premier League.

The Merseyside outfit have the chance to record their third straight away win, with Brazil stunned by the progress they have made in recent weeks.

Everton have made ‘unbelievable’ Premier League progress

At the start of November, after an inconsistent start to the season, Everton found themselves firmly in mid-table and set for another campaign of mediocrity.

However, Moyes‘ side have clicked into gear over the past month and are now up to seventh in the Premier League.

The Toffees have 24 points from their first 15 games of the season, and are only two back from the top four.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Scotland international Brazil was left shocked after finding out just how far up the league Everton have climbed.

Brazil said: “You know who we should give a shout out to? David Moyes’ Everton. I’m just looking at the table, and they’re seventh, two points behind Palace in fourth.

That’s unbelievable for Everton. Well done, David.”

Everton can entrench European hopes by ending unwanted 31-year wait

Everton have not won away at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League since 1994, but they could not be better placed to end the 31-year-old hoodoo on Saturday.

With the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye all firing under Moyes, the Toffees have a wealth of attacking talent.

The table is still incredibly tight as the halfway point of the Premier League campaign closes in, meaning that Everton are still very much in the hunt for a European spot.

Moyes’ side have finally shown some consistency over the last five games, and if their good form continues over the Christmas period, they will find themselves in a really good position for the second half of the campaign.
