TFG tipped to facilitate Everton signing for Roma loan star: ‘There’s no smoke without fire’

Everton and The Friedkin Group could utilise their links to Roma to complete a January transfer.

Everton and Roma have both been linked to Joshua Zirkzee, with Dan Friedkin and Co. looking to have a say on business at the two sides.

The Dutchman is unlikely to join either now, with David Moyes likely to target other striker options after Thierno Barry and Beto’s struggles at Everton.

Barry got on the scoresheet as Everton beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 last time around at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but his one Premier League goal isn’t yet good enough for the Toffees.

This could prompt the Friedkins into making a winter swoop to switch a player from Roma to Merseyside once the window opens.

Friedkins could send Evan Ferguson to Everton in January

Everton have been linked to Evan Ferguson ahead of the January window as they look to cure their number nine woes.

The Republic of Ireland international hasn’t had a dream season, having scored just one Serie A goal at the Stadio Olimpico.

Things could soon turn around after the striker netted two as Roma secured a 3-0 win away to Celtic in the Europa League.

That could pique the interest of the Toffees, with former Everton scout Bryan King suggesting that the Friedkins could utilise their multi-club link to make a move happen.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “I would certainly look at Ferguson and say that could be a prosperous signing.

Ferguson could come in and stick in the side, he’s a player that Moyes will know, and he could go straight into the team.

There’s no smoke without fire with football ownership, you’ve got to watch these things.

They have the same owner, so I would have thought it would be easy to move him to Everton.

Everton could land Ferguson signing from Brighton

The Irishman is yet to play for anyone but Roma this season, so is open to feature for another outfit within FIFA’s regulations.

Had he played for Brighton already, the Toffees would be out of the running, but as it stands, he is free to agree a Merseyside move.

The Seagulls will ultimately have the final say on any deal going through, but with Tony Bloom already willing to work with the Friedkins, there’s no reason why a deal can’t get done.

Some supporters away from L4 may not agree with the idea of multi-club ownership, but the Toffees could be set to use it to their advantage.
