Everton to make massive statement as Alan Shearer predicts result vs Chelsea
Alan Shearer believes it’s tough to predict the Premier League result between Everton and Chelsea on Saturday.
David Moyes’ team will travel to Stamford Bridge on 13 December as the Toffees look for their sixth victory from the last seven league matches.
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Cole Palmer is fit to play, but it doesn’t seem the former Manchester City star has been 100 per cent fit for most of the season.
The Merseyside outfit will certainly look to exploit the London outfit’s recent defensive frailties and make a statement in SW6.

Chelsea and Everton set for Stamford Bridge stalemate
Shearer feels the Toffees will get a point against Chelsea, having played some impressive football in recent weeks.
The Premier League icon admits it’s tough to predict the outcome of the game due to the pressure on the London club after going winless in their last four matches in all competitions.
While Moyes has made the Merseyside outfit difficult to beat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, they also boast an impressive away record.
Shearer wrote in Metro on 12 December: “Moyes has Everton playing some good football and they’re solid. Chelsea are under pressure, so this is really tough to predict. I think Everton will get a result here, so I’ll go for a draw.”
Moyes hasn’t let the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium affect the team, and that’s something fans will be delighted with.
Goodison Park was a stronghold for the Merseysiders for several years, and they’re looking to continue that history in L4.
Everton and Chelsea home and away records compared this season
Moyes is gunning for a European spot in the Premier League, and they can solidify their place in the top half of the table as they sit just one point behind Chelsea right now.
Everton have won 14 points from their eight home league matches this season, better than Chelsea’s 11 from seven games at Stamford Bridge.
| Home | Wins | Draws | Losses |
| Everton | 4 | 2 | 2 |
| Chelsea | 3 | 2 | 2 |
| Away | Wins | Draws | Losses |
| Everton | 3 | 1 | 3 |
| Chelsea | 4 | 2 | 2 |
The Merseysiders have also been impressive away, with 10 points from seven fixtures, but the London club boasts a better record, having been one of the best teams in that regard.
Considering Maresca’s trend at Stamford Bridge, the Toffees will be confident about getting something from the game, but only time will tell what will happen in SW6.
