How to watch Everton stars Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye play for Senegal at AFCON

Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye have left Everton to join up with the Senegal national team for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Ndiaye joined Everton from Marseille for a fee of £16.9million in July 2024 and has been a revelation for the Toffees.

Ndiaye’s excellent run of form for Everton has coincided with fans believing that they could challenge for Europe under David Moyes.

Gueye has formed a brilliant partnership with James Garner in midfield, and the 36-year-old is ageing like fine wine in the heart of Everton‘s midfield.

Both players will be a huge miss in the team, but Everton supporters will be able to keep track of how they fare for Senegal over the next month.

Fans can also view the games on the All 4 app or on the website if they are watching it from a handheld device.

Senegal are expected to go far in the tournament, and they may not return to L4 for a month, with the final taking place in Rabat on 18 January.

All three of their group games are at accessible times, and given their current form for the Toffees, Ndiaye and Gueye could play a starring role in the tournament.

How will Everton cope without their Senegalese duo?

Gueye’s red card against Man United saw him suspended for three matches, and Moyes used Tim Iroegbunam to replace him.

Iroegbunam has been impressive in recent weeks and it feels as though he can replace the experienced midfielder with ease.

Ndiaye’s absence is much more difficult, with several names in line to fulfil his role on the right wing.

Summer signing Tyler Dibling has started just one top-flight game for the Toffees, but he is the most natural replacement out wide, while Carlos Alcaraz’s versatility also provides Moyes with an option.

However, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish both injury doubts for Saturday’s match with Arsenal, the next few games could be tricky for Everton.
