Everton have clear priority as Zakaria El Ouahdi wants European transfer
Everton could potentially address their right-back situation by signing Genk defender Zakaria El Ouahdi in the winter transfer window.
David Moyes will be hoping for reinforcements at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, with the full-back positions certainly in need of addressing.
Seamus Coleman’s injury against Manchester United on 24 November has left the Scottish manager short of options at the back.
Jake O’Brien has constantly played out of position since the 62-year-old head coach’s appointment, but it’s time the Merseyside outfit finally fix the issue.

Zakaria El Ouahdi waits for transfer offer amid Everton interest
El Ouahdi is in demand after some impressive performances at Genk, according to Africa Foot.
The news outlet reports on 15 December that multiple clubs have submitted offers for the 23-year-old in recent months but have been unable to finalise a deal due to the Belgian outfit’s apparent high financial demands.
It’s been claimed that while teams in Russia are willing to meet the Morocco international’s price tag, he wants a move to Europe.
Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed on 11 December that the Toffees had recently made inquiries about the right-back, but the player declined the approach because he doesn’t want to be embroiled in a relegation battle.
The Blues are competing for a European spot in the Premier League this season and may eventually convince El Ouahdi to join.
With the right-back position one of the areas the Merseysiders arguably have to reinforce, pushing for the Moroccan defender’s transfer should be a priority in L4.
Zakaria El Ouahdi transfer to open door for Hill Dickinson Stadium exit
Nathan Patterson could leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, but the Scotsman can’t be allowed to leave as things stand.
The 24-year-old is the only fit natural right-back at Everton right now, and it would make no sense to sell him without an appropriate replacement.

If El Ouahdi does end up at the Blues, the Toffees may be more willing to part ways with the former Rangers defender.
The developments in L4 will be worth watching ahead in the coming weeks, as the noise of incoming and outgoing transfers will surely increase.
