Jack Harrison transfer stares Everton in face after latest developments

Everton arguably have a no-brainer decision with Leeds United forward Jack Harrison in the winter transfer window.

The Englishman spent two seasons on loan at Goodison Park, but returned to Elland Road in the summer as Daniel Farke’s team hope to survive Premier League relegation.

Harrison was being linked with a permanent switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but he ended up staying at the West Yorkshire outfit.

With David Moyes losing Iliman Ndiaye due to AFCON, the Merseyside outfit may have the perfect chance of signing the Leeds winger.

Harrison was a key member of Farke’s plans at the start of the season, coming off the bench in 10 of the first 11 Premier League matches.

With the turn of the year on the horizon, the 29-year-old has found game time hard to come by in LS11, playing just one minute in Leeds’ last five games.

It seems like the former Manchester City ace is no longer wanted in West Yorkshire, allowing the Toffees to pounce on his signature.

Moyes would certainly love to have Harrison back, especially if the Blues can figure out a bargain deal to provide a short-term solution during Ndiaye’s absence.

The squad at the Hill Dickinson Stadium lacks depth and requires reinforcements, and the Leeds winger’s transfer is undoubtedly staring the Merseyside outfit in their eyes.

How did Jack Harrison fare at Everton?

Tyler Dibling and Dwight McNeil will be raring for their opportunities, and they’ll certainly get them in the coming weeks.

Ndiaye could potentially not return until the end of January, with Senegal one of the favourites to win AFCON, leaving Everton with a depleted squad until then.

Moyes relied heavily on Harrison last season, with the forward playing on the right and left-wing, as the 62-year-old head coach came in to stabilise the ship after Sean Dyche’s sacking.

In 73 appearances for the Toffees, the Englishman scored five goals and provided four assists, and while there were inconsistencies in the forward’s performances, he was always an essential member of the first team squad in Merseyside.
