Roy Keane tips unlikely Everton star to have big say vs Arsenal in Premier League

Everton are preparing to face Premier League leaders Arsenal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways after Everton were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea last Saturday.

However, it is set to be one of the toughest tests of the campaign, with the Gunners two points clear at the top of the league, having only lost twice all season.

Despite Arsenal being massive favourites for their trip to Everton on 20 December, Roy Keane is predicting that Mikel Arteta’s side won’t have it all their own way.

James Tarkowski backed to achieve season first vs Arsenal

Everton are without Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye for the visit of Arsenal, with the pair away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish could also both be out, after the duo picked up injuries in the defeat to Chelsea.

With the Toffees set to go into the contest with a depleted lineup, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that Arteta’s side will cruise to victory at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Carragher said: “Everton have got a few players out. Ndiaye’s at AFCON, Grealish is out. Dewsbury-Hall is definitely out. I think Arsenal win that, 2-0.”

However, former Manchester United captain Keane doesn’t see it all going Arsenal’s way, and believes James Tarkowski will have a big say on the match.

Keane said: “I think Everton might get one from a set piece, Tarkowski. 2-1 to Arsenal.”

Tarkowski is yet to find the back of the net for Everton this season, but did grab an assist in the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.

David Moyes has big Everton headache vs Arsenal

Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish have been three of the most exciting attackers in the Premier League this season, but Everton could be without all of them against Arsenal.

Taking on the Gunners is already a tough test, but when you are missing your best players, it becomes virtually impossible to get a result.

Moyes has to find a way to replace the dynamic trio without stunting Everton’s ability to create chances.

The Toffees will hope that the likes of Tyler Dibling and Dwight McNeil can step up and take their opportunities, filling the void left by the unavailable stars.
