Everton fans urged to arrive early vs Arsenal as announcement made
Everton supporters have been urged to get to their seats 15 minutes before kickoff for Saturday night’s clash with Arsenal.
Premier League leaders Arsenal visit Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time this weekend, aiming to stay afloat at the summit.
Everton’s clash with Arsenal was rescheduled to 20 December from its original slot the following day due to the Gunners’ EFL Cup tie with Crystal Palace being staged next Tuesday.
It will be Everton‘s final home fixture of the calendar year, with trips to Burnley and Nottingham Forest to follow next week.
And supporters will want to be inside the ground early or else they will miss what promises to be a spectacle.
First major Hill Dickinson Stadium fan display planned vs Arsenal
Everton fans already feel at home at the award-winning Hill Dickinson Stadium, having made the switch across from Goodison Park in the summer.
It has now been announced via Everton’s official website that supporters’ group The 1878s are preparing their first major fan display at the stadium.
Supporters have been asked to arrive in their seats at 7:45pm at the latest to be part of the display.
Around 15,000 sheets are to be laid out across the upper and lower sections of the South Stand, which will create a brilliant mural as the teams make their way down the tunnel area.
Supporters are being asked to hold their sheets of paper aloft until the players enter the pitch.
Katie Carter of the 1878s said: “We’ve been planning for this moment for a long time and this will be our first display at the new stadium, which makes it a really special one for us.
“We’re asking supporters in the South Stand to be in their seats at least 15 minutes before kick-off so everyone can play their part.
“What we create only works if we do it together, and with everyone involved we can create something special to welcome the team on the pitch.“

All going to plan, Everton’s pre-match display should look pretty special.

As loved as Goodison Park was, it was clear a long time ago that Everton would need to find a new home if they were to grow as a club.
Hill Dickinson Stadium is a world-class venue and ensures that more Everton fans get to watch their team in action thanks to the increased capacity.
