Everton hailed over ‘sensible’ transfer Friedkins could pull off, it’s a two-in-one

Everton could benefit from the Friedkin Group’s ownership when the January transfer window opens.

The Friedkins spent well at Everton over the summer and certainly helped the Toffees to improve and move well away from a relegation battle.

There will be hope that the US group can repeat that feat, with David Moyes already eying Everton signings ahead of the winter market.

Dan Friedkin will be balancing work between his sporting network, with both Everton and Roma showing interest in Joshua Zirkzee this season.

Moyes looks unlikely to get his hands on Zirkzee, but that might not stop a forward coming in, thanks to the Friedkin Group.

Friedkins to facilitate swap deal involving Beto and Artem Dovbyk

Beto and Artem Dovbyk could move between Everton and Roma in January, as the link between the clubs could be utilised to benefit all parties.

The Guinea-Bissau international has seriously struggled for minutes in recent weeks as Thierno Barry continues to be utilised ahead of Beto.

Dovbyk has also struggled in Serie A, scoring just two goals across his 10 appearances this season, although just three have been starts.

Former scout Bryan King believes a double loan deal could benefit all parties with little risk if there are no finances involved.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “If both players are in agreement and the clubs feel that a change could boost their season, then it seems sensible.

To give Beto a new lease of life somewhere else and Dovbyk a boost if they bring him in.

They can always go back in the summer if things don’t work out.

I can’t see any money changing hands, maybe a six-month loan to see if they can resurrect their careers.

Beto could thrive after Roma move

The 27-year-old is in desperate need of confidence after a move to Merseyside that has realistically been terrible.

Beto joined for a huge fee from Udinese, but has failed to live up to the price tag with just 17 goals in blue.

Sending him back to the Serie A on loan could provide the confidence boost he needs after nearly three years of frustration in the Premier League.

That could prompt an ideal two-for-one deal for Everton that could see them land Dovbyk, who has an excellent goalscoring pedigree despite his struggles at Roma.
