Premier League announcement ahead of Burnley vs Everton could spell bad news for Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish will be looking to get back into form for Everton when they travel to Burnley on Saturday.

Grealish had little effect for Everton in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal, but his loan signing has been a breath of fresh air for the Blues.

David Moyes‘ side will be looking to get back on track after the disappointing display at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton will be without Iliman Ndiaye, as he is at the Africa Cup of Nations, so they need Grealish to step up against the Clarets on 27 December.

Premier League announce referees for Burnley vs Everton

Everton have had several clashes with referees this season, with decisions seeming to go against Moyes’ team on a regular basis.

Craig Pawson has been appointed as the man in the middle for the Turf Moor contest, with Lee Betts and Mat Wilkes as his assistants and Thomas Bramall acting as the fourth official.

Why Grealish will be livid with Pawson appointment

The clash with Tottenham will bring back nightmares for Grealish, as it was littered with mistakes from Pawson.

The Manchester City loanee was caught by Pedro Porro in the early stages, with the full-back raking his studs down his leg, but no punishment was handed out.

Then in the second half, when Grealish was about to release the Blues on a counter-attack, when he was fouled by Rodrigo Bentancur.

However, Pawson failed to award the Uruguayan with a yellow card, despite the cynical nature of his tackle, stopping the hosts from attacking quickly by taking out the Englishman.

The Toffees star was visibly furious with the lack of a booking for the Spurs man, and his reaction earned him a booking.

Grealish will surely not be looking forward to being reunited with Pawson after the controversial incident just two months ago.

The referee was booed off the pitch on Merseyside after that display, and Moyes will be hoping that he does not have a negative influence this time around.
