Tyler Dibling should be first name in Everton starting XI after latest transfer news

Everton are desperate to see Tyler Dibling shine now more than ever after spending big money on him in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old moved to the Toffees for a deal worth £42million from Southampton, but he’s had a slow start to life in L4.

Arsenal won 1-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 20 December, with the Blues suffering back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

David Moyes has the perfect chance to give Dibling the responsibility on the right-wing with Iliman Ndiaye off to the Africa Cup of Nations, especially with an exit expected in January.

Dwight McNeil’s starts make no sense as David Moyes ready to sanction Everton exit

Dwight McNeil played 75 minutes for the Toffees against Arsenal, and it was the former Burnley forward’s first start of the season in the Premier League.

The Englishman has been a bit-part player at the Hill Dickinson Stadium due to Jack Grealish and Ndiaye’s exceptional form.

While Mikel Arteta’s team boast the best defence in the English top flight, the 26-year-old showed nothing playing on the right-wing.

Now, it’s been reported on 22 December that Nottingham Forest want to sign McNeil, but Moyes is likely to delay sanctioning his exit due to Ndiaye’s absence.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the former Burnley ace wanting to reunite with Sean Dyche, making his continuity in the starting lineup over Dibling untenable.

Iliman Ndiaye successor needed at Hill Dickinson Stadium after recent reports

Ndiaye is expected to attract plenty of attention at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after what he’s done this season.

Everton will likely have to consider significant offers from Champions League teams for the Senegal international sooner rather than later.

Dibling’s transfer to the Blues would’ve surely been taken keeping in mind that they might have to sell Ndiaye in the foreseeable future.

The Merseyside outfit already have a ready-made replacement for the former Olympique Marseille attacker in the young Englishman, but it remains to be seen if he can live up to his potential.
