‘Kalvin Phillips to revive his career at Everton, he’s someone David Moyes likes’
David Moyes could welcome Kalvin Phillips to Everton in January.
The Toffees are in need of midfield reinforcements right now after Idrissa Gueye left for AFCON with Senegal.
Moyes felt the absence of the 36-year-old as Everton fell to a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal in their last outing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton are looking to add to their squad in January, and the middle of the park appears to be the priority before the market opens up.
Phillips has emerged as an early target, with the Blues’ boss seemingly willing to offer the Manchester City flop a lifeline.

Kalvin Phillips is the sort of player David Moyes likes
Jack Grealish could act as an example for Phillips moving into the winter window after a positive first half of the season in L4.
The Englishman moved to Merseyside in the summer and has so far thrived on his loan spell away from Pep Guardiola.
The defensive midfielder has undergone a similar level of frustration to Grealish, although his struggles have been echoed at both West Ham and Ipswich Town more recently.

Former Everton scout Bryan King has suggested that Moyes could still hand Phillips a chance and afford him an opportunity to turn his career around.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “Moyes has publicly stated that he needs to strengthen his squad.
“It will be interesting to see if he gets the money to do that because Everton are a lot more stable this season than in previous years.
“He needs players whom he knows and can play the Everton way, and that is the way he’ll be looking at things.
“I’d certainly go for Kalvin Phillips because he’s wasted where he is.
“He was a good player at Leeds, without a shadow of a doubt, and I think he’d be a great addition for Everton. I think he’s the sort of player Moyes likes.

“He’s a player, like Jack Grealish, who’s done their job at City, and it’s time to move on because he’s wasted there.
“He could really rejuvenate his career at Everton under Moyes.“
Everton could land cut-price Phillips deal
The Toffees are in need of an option that can benefit them for the short-term, with a longer-term view to improving the squad as a whole.
Someone like Phillips could be a perfect option in January as he is likely to be available on the cheap as he looks to end his Man City nightmare.
The 30-year-old proved his undoubted quality at Leeds, so with the backing of Moyes, this time on Merseyside, he could be exactly what the Scot is looking for this winter.
