Adam Aznou has had a few months to forget at Everton ahead of the winter transfer window.

The left-back joined the Toffees in the summer from Bayern Munich for around £8million, and he would've certainly been hoping for regular minutes in L4.

The Friedkin Group don't have plans to spend a lot for David Moyes in January, but reinforcements may be needed in case of departures.

Everton to be forced into Adam Aznou transfer

Aznou hasn't played for the Toffees' first team since moving from Bayern despite being a regular on the bench.

Vitalii Mykolenko has rightly been the first-choice left-back this season, but when the Ukraine international was sidelined due to injury, the Morocco international didn't get an opportunity at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

James Garner has been a key player for Moyes this season, often playing as a full-back due to the squad's clear lack of depth.

While Aznou is still young and certainly has room for improvement, the fact that the Scottish manager hasn't trusted him to play any minutes isn't encouraging.

The 19-year-old has every right to look for an exit, and his departure could potentially be set in stone after his lack of game time in recent months.

David Moyes may also sanction late January exit for attacker at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Dwight McNeil is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, with Sean Dyche keen to reunite with the former Burnley star.

Everton are without Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye due to the Africa Cup of Nations, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been sidelined with an injury.

It wouldn't make sense for the Merseyside outfit to part ways with McNeil amid a lack of depth in the attacking areas.

When the Senegalese stars do return from AFCON, Moyes may be inclined to let the 26-year-old Englishman leave late in the winter window.
