David Moyes to rage as Everton embarrassed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Everton could certainly do with someone like Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin right now.

The England international left the Toffees in the summer, joining Daniel Farke’s team as a free agent.

David Moyes has been unable to rely on Beto and Thierno Barry this season, with goalscoring an evident problem in L4.

Calvert-Lewin has been on fire at Elland Road, and questions will surely be asked about why the Merseyside outfit didn’t do enough to keep him.

Everton decision to let Dominic Calvert-Lewin leave baffles

Calvert-Lewin has made the Toffees look foolish for letting him leave after scoring in six consecutive games for Leeds.

The 28-year-old has made history, becoming the first Whites player to achieve that feat in the Premier League after finding the back of the net in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 28 December.

Moyes will surely be raging at the Blues for arguably not doing enough to convince the Englishman that the Hill Dickinson Stadium was the best place for him.

With Beto struggling against Burnley at Turf Moor in the 0-0 draw, and Thierno Barry failing to hit the ground running after moving from Villarreal, the Scottish manager has been left short of options up front.

The Blues are the joint-second lowest scorers in the Premier League this season, with both West Ham United and Burnley ahead of them in that regard, highlighting the issues in L4.

Friedkin Group risk David Moyes frustration at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes wanted to keep Barry on his toes after he scored his first goal for the Toffees in the 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest, and he was right to do so.

While the games against Chelsea and Arsenal were challenging for Everton, they should’ve done better against Burnley, but were let down by their attackers.

Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League record at Leeds this season

Calvert-Lewin has undoubtedly embarrassed the Blues for letting him leave as a free agent, given that the Englishman is evidently better than the options they have up front.

The Merseyside outfit will now surely have to go into January to sign someone capable of consistently scoring for Moyes or risk angering the Scottish manager further.
