Bournemouth find Antoine Semenyo replacement who nearly joined Everton in summer

Bournemouth have identified Everton summer transfer target and Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu as a replacement for Antoine Semenyo.

It looks like Manchester City are closing in on the 25-year-old’s signing, with his Ghanaian compatriot seen as a direct successor to him at the Vitality Stadium.

Fatawu was being linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but in the end, a deal didn’t pan out.

With Iliman Ndiaye being linked with the likes of Juventus, the Merseyside outfit may have had the right idea with Fatawu, but it looks like a move to the Cherries is now on the cards.

Everton discouraged by Abdul Fatawu price tag at Leicester City

Leicester ended up keeping Fatawu in the summer after demanding £30million for him, according to the Daily Mail.

The news outlet reports in its print edition on 29 December that despite interest from the Toffees and Sunderland, the 21-year-old Ghana international didn’t return to the Premier League.

It’s been claimed that Bournemouth are now preparing for life without Semenyo and exploring a move for the Foxes’ winger.

In the current campaign, Fatawu has scored four goals and provided six assists in 23 Championship appearances, and it isn’t surprising to see him being linked with the Cherries.

David Moyes has struggled without Ndiaye, and there’s an argument to be made that Tyler Dibling isn’t capable of succeeding him.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Senegal international move to a Champions League side in the coming months, leaving the Merseysiders to look for his replacement.

Jack Grealish permanent transfer all but sealed after Manchester City news

Semenyo’s transfer to Man City means Grealish will surely leave permanently, giving the Toffees hope regarding his return for next season.

The England international would seemingly be surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium with the Ghana international at Pep Guardiola’s disposal, and Everton can take advantage of the situation.

Grealish is enjoying his spell at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it feels like the Blues may be able to convince him to extend his stay.

The 30-year-old has become an instant fan favourite at the Merseyside outfit, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
