David Moyes to lose Everton star who can do ‘absolutely everything’ as time runs out

David Moyes has had several standout players at Everton, who could potentially leave in the winter transfer window.

The Scottish manager doesn’t have the strongest squad in terms of numbers, with Harrison Armstrong recalled from his loan at Preston North End.

Moyes is expected to sign a few players on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, but the Blues may have to deal with certain departures as well.

If not in the coming weeks, then next summer will undoubtedly see a host of top teams looking at a few players who’ve impressed so far in Merseyside.

Everton could be forced to cash in on James Garner

James Tarkowski has hailed James Garner for being able to do “absolutely everything” at the Toffees.

The English midfielder’s talent has been on show at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, contributing in defence, midfield and attack for Moyes when needed.

Against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, the 24-year-old was incredible, scoring the opener as the Blues got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory.

Speaking to Liverpool Echo on 2 January, Tarkowski said, “Garner ran the show, he can do absolutely everything. Along with a few other players, I think he’s been a real standout performer.”

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Garner, with the midfielder entering the final year of his contract at the end of the season.

Even if the Blues manage to keep a hold of the England Under-21 international in January, they’ll surely have to cash in on him next summer if he doesn’t extend his deal.

James Garner transfer may be forced on David Moyes after what’s been said

Moyes has admitted Jack Grealish’s current price isn’t feasible, with the Toffees looking to renegotiate the £50million buy option with Manchester City.

With The Friedkin Group also not looking to invest heavily at Everton in the coming weeks, it looks like the Scottish manager will have to deal with a tight budget for the foreseeable future.

It would make sense for the Blues to sell one of their valuable assets to reinvest in their squad, forcing Moyes to part ways with someone like Garner.

Time is definitely running out at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to tie the English midfielder down to a new contract, and it remains to be seen how his situation will unfold.
