Leon Osman laments ‘unfortunate’ moment for Everton player vs Wolves
Michael Keane enjoyed himself in the first half as Everton face Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday.
David Moyes has started Harrison Armstrong at home on 7 January, as the Toffees look to get back to winning ways.
Brentford were victorious at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, carving the Blues open as the game ended 4-2, and the Scottish manager will hope his change has the desired effect.
Keane got the opener in the 17th minute with a magnificent finish and could’ve added another in the 29th minute, only to be denied by the woodwork.
Michael Keane unlucky not to score second vs Wolves
Leon Osman couldn’t believe the Toffees didn’t find the back of the net after Keane’s header.
From a James Garner set-piece, the English centre-back must’ve surely thought he got his brace, but the defender was centimetres off target at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It was the 32-year-old’s 17th non-penalty Premier League goal for the Toffees, and Seamus Coleman is the only defender, with 22, to have more non-penalty goals for the Merseysiders.
Speaking on Sky Sports on 7 January, Osman said, “That’s so unfortunate from an Everton point of view. It’s an absolutely brilliant delivery. Keane arrives on it right on cue. It’s just a glance. As he turns around, he’s probably expecting to see the net ripple there.”
Moyes will be confident of beating Wolves, with Rob Edwards’ team managing just one goal from open play away from home in the Premier League this season.
The Toffees started the day 13th in the league table, and losing points to the bottom side will be embarrassing for them.
David Moyes has to make one half-time change for Everton
Jake O’Brien has been underwhelming in recent matches for Moyes, with the defender unable to contribute much in the final third.
With the Irish centre-back playing out of position, Everton have seen a few moves die on the right side due to his lack of quality up front.

Nathan Patterson is on the bench and could potentially come on to give the Blues more urgency at right-back and possibly give Armstrong and Dwight McNeil more support in the forward areas.
The Merseyside outfit have to be ruthless and seal the three points, with goal difference also surely playing a key role in determining where they finish at the end of the season.
