Michael Keane loses head, David Moyes to fume with duo – Everton player ratings vs Wolves
Everton lost their heads in the 1-1 draw against Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday.
David Moyes made one change at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 7 January, with Harrison Armstrong replacing Tyler Dibling.
Michael Keane was unfortunate not to score a second in the first half against Wolves, with the defender’s header hitting the upright in the 29th minute after his stunning goal in the 17th minute.
Rob Edwards’ team completely changed the tide after the break, with Mateus Mane scoring, and Keane and Jack Grealish being sent off.
Michael Keane has mental lapse for Everton
Keane’s performances have gone under the radar at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the English centre-back becoming a key player for Moyes.
The Scottish manager has had to rely on the 32-year-old at the Toffees in recent months due to Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury.
Keane stepped up to the plate in the first half, but pulling Tolu Arokodare’s hair was completely baffling from him.
Coupled with the defender’s disastrous display at Brentford, he risks losing his starting berth after coming back from the three-game ban.
Tim Iroegbunam and Harrison Armstrong fall off vs Wolves
Armstrong was recalled from his loan at Preston North End, and the midfielder can arguably play a key role for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old played some exceptional passes from the outside of his boot at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and contributed on both ends of the pitch in the first half, but looked out of his depth in the second.
Tim Iroegbunam’s ability to keep hold of the ball and dribble past the opposition was on show in the opening 45 minutes, but he looked like an amateur after the break.

Moyes should definitely give the midfield duo a dressing down after the game, with Wolves winning the midfield battle when it mattered most.
