David Moyes hands Everton struggler January lifeline in team news vs Sunderland
David Moyes may have just given Tyler Dibling his final chance to impress at Everton before a potential January exit.
Everton host Sunderland at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday for a refreshing FA Cup third-round match where both sides will want to progress.
Moyes’ side drew 1-1 with Wolves last time out in the Premier League, and the Toffees boss will look for an instant response against the Black Cats.
With the Blues now entering the ever-so-important month of January, Moyes may not hand Dibling many more opportunities.

Tyler Dibling handed last-gasp attempt to prove David Moyes wrong
The Toffees haven’t had much success in the FA Cup over the past few years, with their best run coming back in the 2021-22 season
Everton reached the quarter-finals that year, but have since struggled in the early stages of the competition, losing 2-0 to Bournemouth in the fourth round last campaign.
Moyes’ team news has been shared before the clash with Dibling, starting alongside a bunch of Everton strugglers, Beto, Merlin Rohl, and Dwight McNeil.
The Everton boss has shown so far that he isn’t too keen on Dibling since the winger arrived for £40million in the summer, with a January loan move still possible.
Last Sunderland meeting provided Moyes all the data
Everton drew 1-1 with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light when the sides met back in November, as Iliman Ndiaye’s early strike helped the Toffees to a point.
The Blues were dominant in the opening stages of the clash, but the Black Cats quickly found their feet and ultimately may have been unfortunate not to win.

Although Sunderland were at home, the Toffees looked out of ideas against Regis Le Bris’ side in the second 45, and Moyes has surely addressed this leading up to the game.
The Toffees are fairly thin in numbers at the minute, and while a win would be great, extra-time will not be welcomed.
Everton need to put the game to bed before halftime.
