Everton transfer guaranteed after Emil Holm update from Fabrizio Romano

David Moyes will surely be desperate for signings in the winter transfer window as Everton lost to Sunderland on Saturday.

Regis Le Bris’ team were victorious at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 10 January, winning the FA Cup third round on penalties as the game ended 1-1 after extra time.

James Garner, Thierno Barry and Beto missed their respective spot kicks, with Jordan Pickford unable to pull off his heroics in the shootout.

The Friedkin Group are expected to sign a couple of players for Moyes, and one position will undoubtedly be reinforced.

Everton make call for Emil Holm transfer

Bologna right-back Emil Holm has emerged as a target for the Toffees.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Blues have made contact with the Serie A outfit about the possibility of signing the 25-year-old at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The journalist claims that while the Merseyside outfit have made a call about potentially getting the Sweden international in January, no official offer has been sent yet.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said, “There was a call from Everton in England for Holm. He’s a player Everton values, but today, there haven’t been any advanced negotiations with Inter or on Everton’s part. I repeat, a call, but still no official offers.”

Geno’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy is another right-back on Moyes’ radar, and it will be interesting to see who the Toffees end up getting.

No matter what happens, it seems guaranteed that the Blues will bolster the right side of their defence in the coming weeks.

David Moyes might get defender having remarkable season in January

Zakaria El Ouahdi is also wanted at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Genk defender having a remarkable season.

Everton seem to be closely monitoring the Morocco international, who has scored four goals and provided one assist in 14 league appearances from right-back.

Moyes has likely finally realised he can’t keep playing Jake O’Brien out of position, given his attacking deficiencies.

Fans in L4 are asking hard questions of the manager and the board after losing to Sunderland, and the Merseyside outfit surely need to react now.
