Harry Wilson could now leave before 2 February as late Everton transfer fully on cards
Everton are running out of time to do any transfer business this winter.
With no new players through the door in this winter window so far, Everton fans have been growing frustrated at the Friedkin Group over a perceived lack of ambition shown.
Despite Everton’s owners being urged to spend in the market, it instead looks as though their thought process has shifted more towards preparing themselves for a big summer window instead.
Indeed, Everton fans have been told to expect no new signings between now and the 2 February deadline, but that isn’t to say they aren’t working the phones to see if they can do something.

Everton get Harry Wilson boost as Fulham impasse hit
The signing of a versatile forward player has been something that many Everton fans have been wishing for this winter, but as of yet, their prayers have gone unanswered.
Fulham’s Harry Wilson has been linked with a move to Everton this month, with the 28-year-old in the midst of one of his best seasons at Craven Cottage.
The Welsh international has bagged seven goals in 21 Premier League games for Fulham this term, and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league.
However, the Londoners are in a tricky situation with their talismanic attacker, as he is out of contract with them at the end of the season.

And, in a fresh report from BBC Sport on Thursday, it’s revealed that contract negotiations between Wilson and Fulham have now been shelved due to the growing interest in his services.
It’s reported that whilst penning him to a new deal is regarded as a priority for Fulham, Wilson is potentially holding off due to the uncertainty surrounding the future of Marco Silva.
Aston Villa, Everton, Brentford and Crystal Palace are all quoted as keeping tabs on his situation, with interest expressed in signing him this month.
Wilson would cover Jack Grealish and Dwight McNeil bases
It’s no secret that, if possible, Everton would love to sign Man City loanee Jack Grealish to a permanent deal in the summer.
However, that’s going to be an expensive deal, and as of right now, there’s no guarantee that the 30-year-old will stay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for good.
So, signing a player with the quality of Wilson would massively cover Everton’s backs regarding their pursuit of Grealish, and it would also present a significant upgrade on Dwight McNeil, too.
McNeil hasn’t really been able to take the opportunity presented to him whilst Iliman Ndiaye has been away at AFCON, as the 26-year-old has registered no goals and one assist in 13 league games.
If Wilson did sign for Everton, then slotting him in on the right over McNeil would be a marked improvement to the team.
