Everton to get more value as player offered in late bid to seal new transfer – Expert
Everton still haven’t signed anyone in the winter transfer window.
TFG’s inactivity towards signing new players could be costly, and David Moyes desperately needs help due to his depleted squad.
The Toffees are said to be in for a striker, although top target Youssef En-Nesyri has made it clear that he prefers a move to Italy.
A midfielder has also been targeted due to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s injury and Tim Iroegbunam’s potential exit.
The right-back position has also been a problem for Moyes, and that has undoubtedly become the biggest priority of the transfer window.

Dan Plumley believes Everton may use alternative methods to secure transfers
Nathan Patterson’s injury struggles have left Moyes needing to improvise, with Jake O’Brien being deployed as the regular right-back this season.
Everton have been heavily linked with Bologna’s Emil Holm and Blackburn’s Ryan Alebiosu as a result.
The Scotland international has started the last two games, but he is hardly someone who can be counted on during the busy periods of the season.
Everton made a move for Holm on 12 January by offering money and Patterson in exchange.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, finance expert Dan Plumley revealed how the Toffees aren’t financially secure as they look to secure a move for Holm in an unorthodox way.
He said: “I think every club is looking at using players as part of deals, apart from maybe Man City.
“Everton are a good example of that, and there’s been an uptick in performances, but you can’t gamble that we’ll get into Europe this season.
“They’ll get long-term benefits from the stadium, and there is always one eye on the transition from PSR to squad cost.
“Looking at your numbers in-house, you’ll be doing these projections, and these deals offer more value.
“Cash-plus-player deals are one of the different ways clubs can manoeuvre the transfer market.”
With a midfielder and a right-back at the top of the shopping list, Everton need to act swiftly as two league games await before the deadline on 2 February.
Emil Holm is the perfect right-back for Everton
Vitalii Mykolenko’s stability on the left-hand side has given Jack Grealish the license to attack.
If the Toffees can find a right-back who can offer an attacking threat behind Iliman Ndiaye, their European ambitions would be considerably strengthened.
Moyes needs someone that he can fully trust, and the continued interest in Holm will lead fans to believe that the Sweden international could be that player.
The 25-year-old has five goal contributions from 11 matches this season, and his total of four assists is the highest of any right-back in the Serie A.
Everton’s hands are tied from a financial standpoint, and that’s why using Patterson as part of the deal could be the key to signing Holm.
