Everton to greenlight multiple last-minute exits as David Moyes plan revealed

Everton’s transfer business is expected to pick up coming into the final few days of the winter market.

David Moyes is still waiting on a new signing, as the Friedkin Group carefully assess their next steps in an active pursuit of multiple targets.

The Toffees recalled Harrison Armstrong from the teenager’s loan with Preston North End, and his return has so far acted as what feels like the only arrival.

Moyes knows he may need to let some players go if Everton are to bring in new faces this month, with Monday’s deadline the final chance to finalise any transfers.

However, it’s also important that the Blues get some exit spots on for their future aspirations.

David Moyes to sanction several loan exits

There have been suggestions that the Friedkin Group could look to utilise the loan market as a source of securing signings, as several approaches have been made.

But they’ve also used the last couple of weeks to seek loan moves for some of their own talent, and will continue doing so until the final hour of the window.

According to the Liverpool Echo on Friday, Everton and Moyes‘ “plan” is to seal loan moves for youth stars Reece Welch and Elijah Campbell.

Not only that, but the Toffees will most likely find a new club for promising young striker Martin Sherif after his injury struggles with Rotherham United, while George Morgan has also attracted interest.

Moyes has been clear on his plan for Armstrong, and there is a desire from both the Blues and Preston to have the midfielder return to Deepdale before the close of the window.

Everton’s right-back situation may now have shifted

Everton have so far been desperate to land a new right-back in recent weeks, with multiple names, including Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey and Bologna’s Emil Holm, who have both mentioned.

However, Seamus Coleman’s return to fitness may put a stop to that, with Nathan Patterson also showing signs of progression from his own long-term setback.

Jake O’Brien has been playing in right-back for the majority of the season, but there is now a sense that Moyes will hope for his current options to make an impact from now until the end of the campaign.

If Everton do not look to upgrade this area, it will surely mean that full focus will go elsewhere, with the Toffees in need of finding a short-term solution for Jack Grealish’s broken foot.
