Everton told Jens Petter Hauge transfer on as workaround emerges for Champions League star

Everton could turn to Bodo/Glimt and move for Jens Petter Hauge before the January window ends.

The Toffees are in need of forward options, and that has prompted Everton to be linked with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, among others.

Everton were told to sign Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimit, and his Champions League heroics have since sparked further interest from elsewhere.

Hogh’s performance against Manchester City was electric and certainly raised his profile among the wider footballing world.

The Blues have now been urged to move for Hogh and his teammate Hauge, with just days remaining until the winter market slams shut.

Everton could sign Jens Petter Hauge on loan

Hogh may be a wanted man at Everton, but it could be his teammate who the Toffees turn their attention to before the window ends.

Hauge’s profile at Bodo has increased just as much as his colleague’s, with both combining to earn a spot in the Champions League play-off spot.

The 26-year-old may not have scored on Wednesday, but played a part as Hogh scored in a 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

The recent performances, paired with Everton’s need for attacking reinforcements, have seen Norway-based scout Bryan King consider a potential loan move for the pair to L4.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “When you see the boys up front at Bodo/Glimt, either of those two [Haugue or Hogh] would be great.

There could be a chance to bring one of them in on loan with an option to buy.

They’ve got Champions League, but they might not get past the next stage. The league season doesn’t begin until April here in Norway, so a loan may be possible.

Hauge and Kasper Hogh could be superb at Everton

There is no doubting the difference in quality level between Norwegian football and the Premier League, but the pair have stepped up in the Champions League.

Wins against Man City and Atletico Madrid are no mean feat and prove just how good they both can be on their day.

The concern surrounding the sort of level they could reach could be the boost Everton needs to seal the double signing before the January window ends.

Everton Kasper Hogh Bodo Glimt goals

Hogh has been particularly excellent in front of goal in recent months, and Hauge has been creatively great, so calling on them both could be wise for Moyes and Co.
