Everton told what’s required for permanent Jack Grealish transfer after devastating setback
Jack Grealish’s time on loan at Everton may well be over, but there remains a chance he could sign permanently in the summer.
Grealish has been a big hit at Hill Dickinson Stadium since joining Everton on loan from Manchester City in August.
The England international scored two goals and assisted six more in 20 Premier League appearances, making himself a firm fan favourite in the process.
However, Grealish is now expected to miss the rest of the season for Everton after sustaining a stress fracture to the foot that likely requires surgery in what is a devastating setback.
That will see the 30-year-old ruled out until the summer, meaning his loan stint on Merseyside has come to an abrupt end.
But Everton fans will cling onto hope that Grealish will be back in an Everton shirt next season, this time for good.

Alan Myers responds to Jack Grealish transfer question
David Moyes would no doubt love to have Grealish to call upon next season, as would every Everton supporter.
The major issue, though, is Manchester City will not let the attacker leave on the cheap, while his wages are also high by Everton’s standards.
But that is not to say a deal will not be struck, with Grealish hopefully playing his part in trying to push through a move.
Respected journalist Alan Myers was asked on X about Everton’s chances of striking such a deal, to which he replied: “I think things are really unclear at the moment. Everything has to be right for all concerned.”
For a deal to happen, then, it will likely take a compromise between all three parties – Everton, Grealish and Man City.

Grealish will surely need to take a pay cut and City will need to accept they are not going to land the fee they want for the player, but Everton will still likely have to pay more than they would like.

How much do Man City want for Grealish?
As per the agreement when joining Everton last summer, the Toffees have the option to buy Grealish for £50million at the end of the season.
It goes without saying that Everton are unlikely to pay that amount for any player.
However, there is every chance of knocking that figure down to the £40m, which would still represent a decent deal for both Everton and City.
While it is a huge shame Grealish will miss the rest of the season, Everton have seen enough from the fan favourite to table an offer to bring him back to Hill Dickinson for good.
