Friedkin Group set to pull off masterstroke as George Morgan Everton exit on cards
Everton youngster George Morgan may be set to leave before the transfer deadline.
The Blues are yet to make an addition this month, but they have allowed Harry Tyrer to leave on a permanent deal, and Will Tamen has joined Tranmere on loan.
Whether that changes in the next few days remains to be seen, but another academy departure is being worked on.
Morgan‘s exit could prove to be a masterstroke from the Friedkin Group, the Toffees’ American owners.

Why are the Friedkins set to pull off a masterstroke?
As well as owning Everton and AS Roma in Italy, the Friedkins also have a stake in French club AS Cannes.
The Liverpool Echo’s Joe Thomas claimed on 30 January that the Blues were in talks to loan Morgan to the Dragons.
The reason why the deal could be a masterclass is that it could prove to be the first in a productive pathway for the Toffees’ most promising youngsters.
They could be sent to the French team to gain valuable first-team experience away from Merseyside, and it also helps the outfit as they can rise up the leagues with loanees from one of the Friedkin’s two premier clubs.
Everton have a wealth of talented attacking options at youth level, including the likes of Braiden Graham, Martin Sherif and Omari Benjamin, and Morgan may find himself preferring senior football away from Finch Farm.
Who is Everton talent George Morgan?
Morgan is a physical 19-year-old striker who has made seven Premier League 2 appearances this season, with two assists in those matches.
The Milton Keynes-born attacker joined the club at the age of seven and has notched a total of 16 goals and five assists in 59 games for the Blues’ youth ranks.

He is a Wales Under-19 international, with six caps under his belt already, and the move to Cannes could be a profitable one, in terms of his development.
Morgan signed his first professional contract with the Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit in July 2024, and it runs until the summer, so it may prove to be a key testing point as to whether they resign him or allow him to depart.
If he makes it in the French fourth-tier, then maybe eventually he will get a chance under David Moyes.
