David Moyes to ‘get deal done’ for last-gasp Everton loan agreement

Everton could soon agree a late loan deal before the January window slams shut.

The Toffees have been linked to various signings this winter, with Everton links to Kevin Boma picking up pace with deadline day coming up.

David Moyes and Co. look likely to focus on incoming signings across the rest of the window as the search for a new striker continues.

This comes as Beto continues to be linked with a move to Juventus, with the transfer season looking set to come to a busy end.

It may be another outgoing deal that catches the eye at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as Harrison Armstrong looks destined for another loan exit.

Harrison Armstrong could leave Everton on loan

Armstrong returned to Merseyside on 1 January as the Toffees activated an option to bring him back from his loan spell at Preston.

Paul Heckingbottom wants Armstrong back at Deepdale for the rest of the season, but has had to watch the teenager thrive in midfield for the Blues throughout January.

The ex-Sheffield United boss could soon get his wish as a last-gasp January agreement could be on the cards for the Englishman.

That’s the view of former Everton scout Bryan King, who believes Armstrong will agree a return to Preston before the winter window slams shut.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “I would say Preston will be the move for him.

They seem to have a tie in with Everton, so they’ll be looking to bring him back now.

He did well there earlier in the season, so it makes sense for all parties to get that deal done now.

Armstrong set for Preston North End loan return

It will be a bold call if Moyes is willing to let the 19-year-old go after a positive spell back among the first-team in L4.

Armstrong has been a useful asset for the Toffees – as visualised by SofaScore – so losing him may prove to be a blow in the short-term.

That may be the case, but Moyes is a shrewd operator and knows just how progressive a spell in the Championship can be for the midfielder.

Having spent last season at Derby County, the youngster has already come on leaps and bounds, so another six months with Preston is only likely to help further.

The Toffees faithful may question a deal, but there is method to the madness of those on Merseyside.
