Tyler Dibling exit surely set in stone after Everton transfer agreement

Tyler Dibling’s time at Everton has not gone to plan, and it may already be coming to an end.

Everton‘s transfer window has been underwhelming to say the least, with the Toffees yet to complete a single signing.

However, the most disappointing aspect is the fact that Everton look set to end the window without a new striker, which was the priority from day one.

With that said, the Merseysiders are closing in on their first, and potentially only signing of the winter, and it will almost certainly spell bad news for Dibling.

Tyrique George transfer on the brink at Everton

When it was confirmed that Jack Grealish would miss the rest of the season, Everton had no choice but to look to bring another wide player to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

And they appear to have succeeded with that, after it was reported that Tyrique George is set to arrive on loan from Chelsea.

Everton are believed to have an option to buy the teenage winger, and should he impress in the second half of the campaign, there’s a good chance that they take that option.

But when taking into account that Everton also want to sign Grealish, that would leave them with Iliman Ndiaye, Grealish, George, Dwight McNeil and Dibling as wide options next season.

The latter of whom was signed for £40million from Southampton in the summer.

With how highly rated George is, his permanent arrival could push Dibling down to fifth choice, which would be of no benefit to his development.

An exit before Monday’s deadline is unlikely, but there seems to be a high chance that Dibling will leave Everton in the summer, either on loan or on a permanent basis.

What can Everton expect to see from Tyrique George?

George is unlikely to be a game-changer for the Toffees, but he is certainly a smart addition should the deal go through.

The winger adds plenty of pace to the right side of Everton’s attack, which has been lacking when McNeil or Dibling have featured there, or even more recently, when Harrison Armstrong has been shoehorned in there.

With game time, George can easily develop into a top-level Premier League winger, making the inclusion of a buy option almost essential.

Due to the injury situation, George may not be afforded enough time to settle in, but his exposure to first-team football will only be a benefit.
