Every word David Moyes has just said on wild Dwight McNeil transfer saga
David Moyes has spoken for the first time after Dwight McNeil’s £20million move from Everton to Crystal Palace collapsed on deadline day.
The Toffees winger looked all but set to end his stay on Merseyside, but it was not to be the final chapter of his Everton career.
McNeil and his family were devastated, as they looked forward to a new chapter of their lives in London.
Steve Parish has since been slammed for his role in the ordeal, with reports suggesting Parish went missing during talks.
Now, Moyes has chimed in on McNeil and what happened on deadline day.

What has David Moyes said about Dwight McNeil?
Oliver Glasner has already spoken out about McNeil’s failed move, with the Austrian admitting he was disappointed that he never landed the player.
The Crystal Palace manager felt he was the perfect profile of player his side was lacking, with Danny Murphy agreeing McNeil would have fit Crystal Palace’s style.
However, McNeil’s Everton teammates appear to be happy he is sticking around at the club until at least the summer.
Friday afternoon was the first time that Moyes has faced the media since the crazy saga, with the Scotsman talking at his pre-Fulham press conference.
Moyes said: “Dwight is fine. He is training as well. Dwight is ok. He understands exactly where it went wrong and how it broke down.
“I wouldn’t talk too much, but I can tell you it had nothing to do with Everton Football Club. It does happen, and players have to live with it.

“Look, it wasn’t that we didn’t want it to happen; we gave permission for Dwight to go for a medical and do all the things required for it. It was hard to do much more than we had done.”
What role will McNeil play for Everton this season now?
For McNeil, nothing much will likely change about his status in and around the Everton team, and life will go on at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Especially with Moyes confirming he has been training as normal.
In truth, he will seemingly just return to the bit-part role he had before the deadline day saga. McNeil will find himself starting, but it will not be on a regular basis.
Instead, he will have to settle for appearances off the bench and try and take his chances in that regard.
There has been talk that Everton could offer McNeil a new contract, and that would be done with trying to keep that £20m value intact.
Right now, his current deal expires at the end of next season, and Everton could end up receiving less for McNeil in the summer.
