Adam Aznou situation moves beyond parody after what was seen in Everton win vs Fulham
Adam Aznou will surely be wondering exactly what needs to happen for his next Everton chance to arrive.
Aznou joined Everton from Bayern Munich in the summer amid plenty of fanfare at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
However, the defender has made just one appearance for the Toffees all season, coming as a substitute in last month’s FA Cup loss to Sunderland.
It was not surprising, then, when Aznou was linked with an Everton exit in the winter transfer window, although that did not transpire.
And Aznou has even more reason to believe his situation has gone beyond parody given what happened in Everton’s 2-1 comeback win against Fulham on Saturday.

David Moyes can’t keep picking Vitalii Mykolenko
David Moyes opted to go with Vitalii Mykolenko once again for the clash at Craven Cottage, with that proving to be a mistake.
Mykolenko put into his own net and endured a disappointing afternoon either side of that, albeit he was bailed out by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s brilliance to turn the game around in West London.
As highlighted in the Sofascore graphic below, Mykolenko won just two of his five duels in his 85 minutes on the field, though he was at least credited with an assist.
That makes him the first Everton player to both record an own goal and a goal involvement in a single Premier League game since Seamus Coleman against Chelsea in August 2014.

Still, that assist cannot paper over another disappointing display and it is surely time for Moyes to now turn to Aznou.
The fact the former Bayern man was not even part of the matchday squad, assuming it is not injury-related, makes the situation all the more bizarre.
Where could Aznou end up if he leaves Everton?
It would not have been surprising to see Aznou head out in the winter window, whether on loan or permanently.
Reports last week suggested Moyes was open to Aznou departing, but as we know that did not happen.
Ligue 1 side Marseille were said to have held a particularly keen interest on deadline day, but it may be they left it too late.
If Aznou’s situation does not improve in the coming weeks, though, it will surely be a case of waving goodbye in the summer.
And unless he is given a chance by Moyes, there is absolutely no way his situation will improve.
