Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall heroic, teammate shines again – Everton player ratings vs Fulham

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall inspired Everton to beat Fulham 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Craven Cottage welcomed David Moyes’ team on 7 February, with the hosts looking threatening for most of the first half.

In the 19th minute, the Cottagers broke the deadlock after Raul Jimenez’s effort led to an own goal from Vitalii Mykolenko after Jordan Pickford saved the striker’s initial shot.

Dewsbury-Hall equalised in the 75th minute as the Merseyside outfit put extreme pressure on the West London club after the break, and then his cross led to the winner.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leads comeback vs Fulham

Dewsbury-Hall has been brilliant for the Toffees this season, and his return from injury has been important for them.

The midfielder is showcasing his quality consistently at Hill Dickinson Stadium after struggling to make an impact at Chelsea.

Moyes was right to make an investment in the Englishman, and he’s now become a key part of the Blues’ success.

Apart from scoring the equaliser, Dewsbury-Hall forced the error from Bernd Leno that made it 2-1 for the Merseysiders.

Iliman Ndiaye sloppy in Everton win vs Fulham

Moyes has been unable to rely on Iliman Ndiaye in recent weeks, with the Senegal international looking tired since returning from winning the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 25-year-old failed to make much of an impact in the final third in the first half and was also left wanting defensively at times.

Ndiaye switched to the left-wing after the break and looked a bit more threatening, but still, some of the forward’s touches were poor, something that’s not expected from him.

The winger’s sloppy play is especially concerning at a time when Jack Grealish isn’t available due to his injury, and fans will hope the former Olympique Marseille star can find his feet sooner rather than later after some frustrating performances.

Harrison Armstrong didn’t look out of place at Craven Cottage

Harrison Armstrong has returned to the Hill Dickinson Stadium after his loan spell at Preston North End was cut short in January.

The 19-year-old has now started in the last five Premier League matches and doesn’t look out of place at the Toffees.

While the Blues struggled defensively in the first half, Armstrong was arguably the most threatening outlet in the final third for them.

It was baffling to see Moyes substituting the 19-year-old midfielder in the 69th minute to bring on Tyrique George when there were other players who failed to make a mark.
