Robert Sanchez in social media blunder as Chelsea man posts images of Everton star

Robert Sanchez has randomly shared Everton imagery to his social media.

Sanchez was involved in high controversy against Everton last April after a penalty arguably should have been awarded against the Spaniard.

David Moyes was left fuming when Sanchez took down Vitalii Mykolenko inside the Chelsea box, but no spot kick was given.

The Toffees won’t face off with the Blues again until March, with Everton now looking ahead to a clash with Fulham on Saturday.

Liam Rosenior’s side are preparing to face Wolves, something which makes Sanchez’s social media activity all the more strange.

Ironically, Mykolenko is set to miss the Fulham clash through injury after missing out against Brighton last time around.

Jarrad Branthwaite replaced the Ukraine international at the Amex, so a start may be in the pipeline for the centre-back at Craven Cottage.

The Englishman, if he is to start, will likely feature alongside Jordan Pickford, with the Toffees’ number one likely to feature in between the sticks.

That has seen an image emerge of the goalkeeper, in a graphic of him surrounded by Everton badges at Craven Cottage, to signify that it is matchday.

This sort of image is normal for players to share ahead of games, the only problem with this example is that Chelsea keeper Sanchez has shared it, not Pickford.

The story post has since been deleted by the Spaniard, with his social media team likely having control of various players’ accounts.

That hasn’t prompted the image to be posted on the England international’s page, with the keeper yet to post on Saturday ahead of the Fulham game.

Jordan Pickford hopeful of improvement vs Fulham

The 31-year-old has been superb over the years and is deserving of all the respect he garners from the Toffees.

That has seen him make a staggering 344 appearances for the Blues, something which is likely to tick over to 345 against Fulham.

Even with that being the case, he will be keen to take a step up at Craven Cottage after a mixed bag performance against Brighton last time out.

The keeper made just one save before conceding to Pascal Gross in his only activity of the afternoon on the south coast.

Pickford will want to keep a clean sheet against Marco Silva’s side, especially now he has the backing of Sanchez on Instagram…
