Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ‘class’ puts Everton importance into spotlight after heroics vs Fulham
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s return to action may have given Everton a bigger lift than they could have ever imagined.
David Moyes rejoiced as his side beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, with Dewsbury-Hall proving to be the difference maker.
The attacking midfielder played his first full 90 minutes since a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the early parts of December, where he also carried the Toffees to victory.
Dewsbury-Hall was out injured for the majority of the festive period, and since his return against Leeds, the Blues have yet to lose a single match.
The period from now until the end of the season could push even more to believe that the Englishman is, in fact, Moyes‘ best asset.
Alan Myers says Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been Everton’s ‘most missed’ star
Much has been said about Jack Grealish’s major injury blow for Everton, but Dewsbury-Hall‘s setback could have been seen as just as damaging.
The 27-year-old’s display versus Fulham was once again proof of why some are now starting to pick up on his importance to Moyes.
- Dewsbury-Hall was heavily involved in both Everton’s goals versus Fulham
- He also created three chances
- The Englishman had a passing accuracy of 87%
The Toffees were also without Jarrad Branthwaite for the whole first half of the campaign, as injuries have given Moyes something to navigate around this season.
Taking to social media after the game, Alan Myers was full of praise for Dewsbury-Hall, who he has suggested is one of Moyes’ most important players.
Myers said: “Out of all the injuries we’ve had over the last few months, I think Dewsbury-Hall was the most missed.
“He’s a class player and makes a big difference to the side.”
When taking a statistical nosedive into his performances this season, there’s lots of evidence to suggest that Dewsbury-Hall has a higher significance than the likes of Branthwaite and Grealish to the Blues.

Dewsbury-Hall’s season by the numbers so far
Everton are still in with a chance of achieving a spot for European football next season, but the Toffees need to keep consistently from now until the end of the season.
Not only that, but the Blues simply have to keep their star players off the medical bench at Finch Farm if they are to be successful. With that said, Dewsbury-Hall needs to be placed in bubble wrap.

As highlighted by Sofascore, Dewsbury-Hall has been consistently performing for the Toffees since he joined in the summer from Chelsea, with an average rating of 7.24.
His Premier League showings have proved that the Friedkin Group pulled off a masterclass with his £25million signing.
Now, Bluenoses will just hope that their star man can stay fit.
