Everton vs Bournemouth preview: Team news, lineups, prediction
Everton are looking to put together a run of form as they face Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The Toffees have thrown themselves into the race for European football after Everton secured a 2-1 victory away at Fulham over the weekend.
Back at Hill Dickinson Stadium, they welcome Bournemouth, off the back of their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
David Moyes’ side find themselves eighth in the standings heading into the round of midweek fixtures.
Goodison News takes a look at everything that Everton supporters should know ahead of the upcoming clash.
Preview
After a run of successive 1-1 draws against Leeds and Brighton, Everton got back to winning ways on Saturday, with a late Bernd Leno own-goal sealing all three points for the Toffees after a Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall equaliser.
Moyes’ side go into Tuesday’s clash unbeaten in their last five league outings, though they will be looking to add more wins on the board, after drawing three of these.
Before Saturday’s draw against Aston Villa, Bournemouth picked up their first away win since August, as goals from Eli Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott sealed a 2-0 win on the road against Wolves.
Andoni Iraola’s side sit 11th in the standings, just three points away from Everton. A midweek win would throw the Cherries right back into the European mix.

Head-to-head
The Toffees picked up a big win against the Cherries back in December, with a late Jack Grealish goal securing a 1-0 win on the South Coast.
The last league outing between the pair on Merseyside turned out to be a sensational one, with Bournemouth coming from two goals down to win 3-2 in additional time at Goodison Park at the start of the 2024-25 season.
In the Premier League, Everton have picked up seven wins against Tuesday’s opponents, with Bournemouth winning 10 matches alongside two draws.
Team news and predicted lineups
Things are looking much better for Everton on the injury front compared to Bournemouth, with Jack Grealish the only absentee.
The attacker is not expected to return until the end of the season due to a foot injury.
For the visitors, Iraola is expected to welcome Marcus Tavernier, Julio Soler, Ben Doak and Tyler Adams back to the fold later this month, while Justin Kluivert is sidelined until April.
Winter signing Rayan scored his first goal for the Cherries at the weekend, and is expected to start out on the right once again.
Everton predicted XI – 4-2-3-1: Pickford – O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko – Garner, Gueye – Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, George – Barry
Bournemouth predicted XI – 4-2-3-1: Petrovic – Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert – Scott, Cook – Rayan, Kroupi, Adli – Evanilson

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Bournemouth
While a draw is something Everton are looking to actively avoid after their recent run, Bournemouth secured a morale-boosting away win last time out against Wolves and will enter this fixture with much more confidence.
A draw would not be the worst result for either side, with both looking to bolster their European chances, but they could cancel each other out.
The Toffees have drawn 1-1 three times at Hill Dickinson Stadium thus far, and this could be the case once again against a resurgent Bournemouth side.
