Everton vs Bournemouth result predicted by supercomputer

Everton return to Premier League action midweek against Bournemouth.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the star of the show as Everton secured a 2-1 victory away to Fulham at the weekend, momentarily taking the Toffees up to seventh in the Premier League.

The result now means that the Blues have won two more games away from home this season than they have at home, albeit having also had an extra game.

David Moyes will be looking to address that on Tuesday night, when Everton welcome Bournemouth to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

How likely are Everton to beat Bournemouth?

Everton‘s encounters with Bournemouth have been some of the rarest over the years, with just 23 total meetings dating all the way back to 1937.

Since then, the Toffees have won 11, while the Cherries have won 10.

Just three points separate the two sides after 25 games so far this season, and it may remain that way after they meet on Merseyside.

Via Opta‘s supercomputer, Everton have a 43.3 per cent chance of victory on Tuesday night, while the Cherries have a 30 per cent chance of taking all three points.

It means that the Toffees are more likely to secure victory, but given that their likelihood is less than 45 per cent, a draw remains the forecasted outcome.

And if so, it would be only the third draw between these two sides, with the last one coming back in 2018.

Everton out to achieve history vs Bournemouth

Everton have made hard work of their encounters with Bournemouth recently, with just two wins out of the last six meetings in all competitions.

However, the most recent one ended in victory, with Jack Grealish scoring in a 1-0 win for Everton against Bournemouth back in December.

And as a result, if the Toffees were to secure victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday, it would be the first time in their history that they have managed the league double over them in a campaign.

To do that, Everton will need Dewsbury-Hall at his best again and will need to make sure that they contain the threat posed by Rayan after his weekend goal in their 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
