David Moyes has chance to create Everton history ahead of Bournemouth clash

Everton will look to continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League as they welcome Bournemouth to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday evening.

David Moyes’ side have moved up to eighth in the table after a 2-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, and have now gone five games without defeat in the top-flight.

Vitalii Mykolenko’s own goal saw the Toffees fall behind in West London, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall inspired a second-half comeback.

Dewsbury-Hall fired in the equaliser with 15 minutes remaining, before his corner was deflected into the net by Bernd Leno, ensuring Everton picked up all three points.

Moyes now has the chance to create some history with the Merseyside outfit as Bournemouth come to town.

Everton aiming for historic league double over Bournemouth

Like Everton, Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, including wins over Liverpool, Tottenham and Wolves.

Andoni Iraola’s side have struggled away from home this season, though, so Moyes will be aiming to take all three points.

Everton beat Bournemouth 1-0 at Vitality Stadium back at the start of December, with Jack Grealish scoring the only goal of the contest.

It means that if the Merseyside outfit can claim victory on Tuesday evening, then they will complete the league double over the Cherries for the first time in their history.

Everton must address home struggles

Everton have been superb away from home this season, with only Manchester City, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Arsenal picking up more points on the road in the Premier League.

However, if the Toffees want to create history against Bournemouth, as well as mount a European push, they have to address their poor form at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes’ side haven’t won any of their last five games at home in all competitions, and it is quickly developing into somewhat of a concern.

Hill Dickinson stats

Hill Dickinson Stadium was a fortress for Everton at the start of the campaign, but they have only won there twice since the start of October.

If the Merseyside outfit are to have any chance of clinching a Europa League or Conference League place come the end of the season, then they must find some form at home.
