Jack Grealish sends message as surgery completed at Everton, Declan Rice and Harry Maguire react
Jack Grealish continues to recover from injury at Everton.
Grealish picked up an issue that could rule him out at Everton for the rest of the season and bring his loan spell to an early end.
It appears that Everton will still pay Grealish’s wages for the campaign, even if the attacking midfielder will be unavailable for selection.
There have been questions about whether Everton will sign Grealish permanently from Manchester City, but that remains up in the air at this stage.
That will only continue to be the case after Grealish underwent surgery on Merseyside, attracting messages from the wider footballing world.

Jack Grealish sends message after surgery at Everton
Grealish could be available to Everton permanently in the summer, but it will ultimately depend on how he can recover from injury.
The Englishman has a history of foot and shin problems, with this latest issue being a recurrence that required work to correct.
The 30-year-old has now confirmed that he underwent surgery and will be out for the rest of the campaign.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, he said: “Didn’t want the season to end like this, but that’s football, gutted. Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.
“The support I’ve had since coming to this unbelievable club has meant the world to me. The staff, my teammates and especially the fans have been incredible, and I absolutely love representing this club.
“I’ll be backing the lads all the way and doing everything I can to get back as soon as possible. Thank you again for all the love, it means so much. UTFT.”
Although that will represent a blow for the Blues, it is clear just how good a relationship Grealish has created on Merseyside.
That seems to be a consistent factor throughout his career, with many star names sending well-wishes after his post.

The same was said by ex-Aston Villa pals Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings, joined by Morgan Rogers, who said, “My brother man, back soon.”
There were also plenty of comments from Manchester City, with Erling Haaland sending two hearts and a prayer emoji while former City man Oleksandr Zinchenko said, “Come back stronger brother.”
