David Moyes is quietly under some pressure at Everton, and no one is talking about it

David Moyes’ position as Everton manager may not be under immediate threat, but his job is far from secure.

Everton’s 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth was cause for concern for several reasons, but none more so than it means that the Toffees have still won just four games at home this season.

The Blues have picked up 21 of their 37 points away from home this season, and while they sit in eighth, there are many concerns lingering on Merseyside.

And perhaps the biggest one is in regard to Moyes, who must face some scrutiny for the lack of form in recent weeks.

David Moyes has questions to answer at Everton

Everton’s lack of form isnt entirely Moyes’ doing, with The Friedkin Group having done little to support him in the winter window.

However, the Scotsman still holds a lot of the blame for the concerns that have emerged.

When sitting inside the top eight and in contention for Europe, many will look at it and say that he is doing a great job, which isnt entirely true.

Everton’s home performances this season have been dismal, even when they have gone on to win or secure a point, and another recurring theme in games has been their inability to perform over 90 minutes.

Again, this isnt entirely on Moyes, but some of his decisions in games have been baffling to say the least, and that hasn’t helped.

Is Moyes at risk of the sack immediately at Everton? No, he’s not. But unless there are some big improvements for the final 12 games of the season, then that conversation may have a different route in the summer.

And with just three wins from their last 12 games in all competitions, those fears will only be amplified if that record goes on.

Where are Everton predicted to finish in Premier League?

Everton have some tough games remaining, but also some where they will have no excuses not to pick up three points.

A home encounter with Burnley at the start of March is a must-win for the Toffees, while away clashes against the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham are also more than achievable.

As per Opta, Moyes’ side are expected to pick up 14 more points between now and the end of the campaign, with a predicted finish of 10th.

Everton have a 1.17 per cent chance of qualifying for Europe, which, depending on who wins the FA Cup, could go to eighth place, and just a 0.07 per cent chance of relegation.
