Everton set Iliman Ndiaye price tag as Manchester United in pole position for transfer

Everton will have to contend with interest from Manchester United and Arsenal in Iliman Ndiaye in the upcoming transfer window.

As things stand, the Red Devils are leading the race to sign the Senegal international from the Toffees, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reports on 11 February that it would take around £70million for the Blues to even open discussions about the 25-year-old’s departure.

While The Friedkin Group aren’t too keen on selling one of their best assets as they look to back David Moyes, the forward has responded positively to the links.

Everton can be tempted into Iliman Ndiaye sale

TFG are looking to further invest in the squad in the summer, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for Ndiaye.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Toffees face a dilemma over the former Olympique Marseille star’s exit if they receive a significant offer for him at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Chelsea and Tottenham are keeping tabs on the Senegalese attacker, with other top European teams in the mix.

If Ndiaye continues to consistently perform for the Blues and plays a pivotal role in helping them achieve European qualification, £70m would arguably be a bargain for him.

The Merseyside outfit suffered a setback against Bournemouth in the 2-1 defeat at home on 10 February, but the Senegal international performed well after some underwhelming displays in recent weeks.

With the Premier League table congested in the middle, Moyes can’t afford to drop pivotal points in games they are in control of.

Friedkin Group to push in-house replacement for Iliman Ndiaye

Ndiaye will undoubtedly be a massive loss for the Toffees, but a move to a Champions League side feels inevitable if he keeps producing exceptional numbers.

TFG will surely want Moyes to push Tyler Dibling into his plans after Everton spent an initial £35m to sign him from Southampton.

The 19-year-old has failed to live up to expectations at Hill Dickinson Stadium so far, but fans in L4 will hope the Englishman can get his act together sooner rather than later.

Dibling is arguably years away from being the calibre of player Ndiaye has become in Merseyside, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the two.
