The Friedkin Group set to make another Everton error amid £70m Iliman Ndiaye update
Everton will no doubt have to fend off plenty of interest to retain Iliman Ndiaye in the summer.
Everton are somewhat on the slide under David Moyes this season, and their ability to halt that will depend on how much business they can do in the summer, and certainly how good it is.
With James Garner having signed a new deal, that is a big boost in terms of their ability to retain players, but they will face a similar challenge with Ndiaye.
Manchester United have already been linked with the Senegal international in the winter, though no offer came around.
But that interest is likely to remain until the summer, and Everton have now set the price tag on the forward’s head.

How much do Everton want for Iliman Ndiaye
A report earlier this week stated that the Toffees will require at least £70million to enter negotiations over Ndiaye’s exit.
However, that is already a big mistake.
When you look at some of the fees received and paid by Premier League clubs, some of them are wild, and almost all of them have involved players who have showcased much less than Ndiaye has at Everton.
Jadon Sancho was signed for £73m, Antony was signed for £82m, and Alexander Isak was signed for a whopping £126m.
And while there are other factors involved in all of those deals, Ndiaye has comfortably shown a lot more than the first two names.

This Everton side, without Ndiaye, would likely be relegated, or at least be in the conversation, showcasing his importance.
If he is to leave in the summer, it simply needs to be for a lot more than the reported £70m, even if that is just a starting point.
Ndiaye’s replacement may already be in the building at Everton
Plenty was made of the lack of business done by Everton in the summer, and for good reason when taking into account their lack of depth.
Tyrique George was the only arrival, having joined the Toffees on loan from Chelsea until the end of the campaign with an option to buy.
That may prove to be a significant deal in the event of an exit for Ndiaye, given the similarity in their game.
There is a case to be made that the 20-year-old was brought in as a succession plan for Ndiaye, but with time to develop prior.
It remains to be seen if that is the situation, but it is a strong possibility.
