Everton fans to grimace at latest Iliman Ndiaye admission amid transfer speculation

Iliman Ndiaye scored the last ever goal at Goodison Park for the men’s team, putting himself in the history books for the Toffees.

The Blues have now moved to Hill Dickinson Stadium, where their form at home has not been at its best. The L3 outfit has just 16 points from a possible 39 so far this campaign.

It has no doubt been a tough season in Everton’s new ground, but they have still found themselves with plenty to play for in the Premier League.

David Moyes will be looking to end the season in a special manner, with European qualification still very much on the cards.

Ndiaye will play a key role in helping those aspirations become reality, but his latest admission may not land well with supporters, especially after the circling interest around signing him in the summer.

Iliman Ndiaye makes Premier League stadium admission

Ndiaye has been linked with a transfer to many top Premier League clubs over the last few months, including both Arsenal and Manchester United.

Losing the Senegalese forward would not be an ideal scenario in the summer, particularly if Moyes finds himself managing the Toffees in Europe.

However, when it comes to the future of Ndiaye, the 25-year-old may have just let his preference be known.

Speaking with FotMob’s social media team, the Everton man was asked about his favourite stadium to play at.

His answer may make a few Evertonians grimace, as Goodison Park or Hill Dickinson Stadium were not mentioned, with him instead saying Old Trafford.

What has Iliman Ndiaye said about the Hill Dickinson Stadium?

Although it is only new, Everton fans may have been wanting their forward to mention the Hill Dickinson Stadium as his favourite.

However, in the past, the Senegal international has been highly complimentary of the 52,769-seater ground.

Back in October, Ndiaye spoke about how the new ground “already feels like home”.

The Everton number 10 went on to say: “Obviously, it’s very different from Goodison Park. It’s new, it’s modern, and it has everything. We get more fans inside, and it definitely gives you more energy for your performance as a player.”

While the transfer speculation will only continue to fuel, Toffees supporters will at least get another few months with Ndiaye at Everton.

Hopefully, with European qualification, it could be enough to convince the forward to stick around for another season in Merseyside.

If not, it seems Ndiaye already has his dream club in mind.
