David Moyes receives unwanted Premier League headache as Everton top-three in new stat
David Moyes will want to have any and every advantage he can get at Everton as they look to qualify for Europe.
The Toffees are well within the European race but face plenty of competition from those around them. As it stands, just 10 points separate fifth and 12th.
Within that gap, the L3 outfit are sat firmly between both in eighth place, and with a crucial match against Manchester United coming up, they’ll want to end their Hill Dickinson voodoo.
Moyes’ side have struggled at their new home this season so far, with just 16 points picked up from a possible 39.
When on the road, life has been easier for the Merseyside club, but that could be about to change after the emergence of a new stat.

Everton have third-longest distance left to travel in Premier League
Being on the road this season for Everton has been more joyous than their home games. The Merseyside club seem to be able to get better results on their travels.
However, while that may be the case, Moyes will certainly not like the sound of this latest reveal regarding his side.
The Athletic have shared data which shows that Everton have the third-longest distances left to travel for their away games this season.
The Toffees still have 2,395 miles left to cover in their remaining away fixtures.
Across those games, the Blues have a trip to Newcastle before the end of February; meanwhile, the rest of their final away games are based in London.
Clashes against Arsenal, Brentford, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Tottenham await Everton before the season’s end.
Why this new stat reveal is a negative for Everton
While Everton’s away form may point to them not being affected by travelling, being on the road can lead to issues of fatigue.
Longer on the road means players will have less time to recover, and in a footballing era where marginal gains are becoming more important, it could be a hindrance to Moyes.
It provides an unwanted headache for the Toffees as they seek European qualification, but the Premier League calendar was set out months ago.

Everton knew this run of away games was coming, and now they’ll need to improve their home form to counter any issues that pop up.
If results at the Hill Dickinson Stadium cannot improve, dreams of watching the Blues in Europe could quickly fade away through the run-in.
