Everton vs Manchester United injury latest: Five stars could miss Premier League showdown
Everton are preparing to face Manchester United on Monday.
The Toffees were out of action over the weekend as their FA Cup commitments ended with defeat against Sunderland in the third round.
That has given David Moyes time to work with his side, which he will have appreciated after defeat against Bournemouth last time out.
The 10-man Blues fell to yet another Hill Dickinson Stadium defeat and are now preparing for a clash with Michael Carrick’s side on Merseyside.
The L4 faithful will hope for an improved result and performance, but things won’t be easy for either side as injuries and suspensions take their toll.

Everton without two vs Manchester United
Just a few weeks ago, Moyes was facing a crisis within his squad with various absentees due to injury and AFCON commitments.
Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are now back from Morocco and have featured regularly ever since, but fitness issues have also vanished.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has returned and is making an excellent impression once again, but fellow summer signing Jack Grealish won’t be back any time soon.
The Manchester City loanee has undergone surgery on a foot injury, so his absence will be felt throughout the rest of the campaign.
He hasn’t been joined by anyone else on the treatment table in L4, with no other injury worries right now for Moyes.
Jake O’Brien is the only other Toffees star who will miss out against Man United due to his red card against Bournemouth last time out.
His last man challenge resulted in a 69th-minute sending off and will see him watch from the sidelines for the clash with the Red Devils.
Manchester United could be without three at Hill Dickinson
If things are looking good for the Blues on the injury front, they are somewhat echoed by the goings on at Old Trafford.
There is only one star set to miss out for Carrick’s men, with Patrick Dorgu set to be missing until late March with a thigh injury.
Question marks surround Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt, who may be fit enough to feature in L4 after issues of their own.
| Player | Injury | Potential return |
| Patrick Dorgu | Thigh injury | 20/03/2026 |
| Mason Mount | Unknown | 23/02/2026 |
| Matthijs de Ligt | Lower back injury | 23/02/2026 |
The attacking midfielder is more likely to play a role, while the Netherlands international is waiting to see how a lower back problem develops.
There is no guarantee that either of these two will miss out entirely, but it feels likely that they will play a bit part role if they do get minutes on Merseyside.
