Jack Grealish reacts as Bukayo Saka confirms new Arsenal contract

Everton loanee Jack Grealish has reached out on social media after Bukayo Saka penned a new deal at Arsenal.

The England international winger has agreed to a new five-year contract at the Emirates as his levels continue to improve under Mikel Arteta.

It has been reported that the 24-year-old will be paid over £300,000-per-week in North London as he goes in search of a Premier League title this season.

Saka took to Instagram on Thursday to react to the confirmed news with a message, reading: “Fully committed”, featuring a padlock and heart emoji.

The Gunners star has been met by a reaction from Grealish, who has liked the post, alongside 106,000 users.

The 30-year-old is currently out injured after what had been a hugely positive loan stint at Hill Dickinson Stadium this campaign.

Grealish is going to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery, a blow to his personal career prospects and the Toffees.

David Moyes will have the potential of qualifying for Europe in the back of his mind, and to be without the loan star will be frustrating.

The former Villa man will have his own grievance against the injury with the World Cup coming up at the end of the season.

His form could have been enough to raise questions with Thomas Tuchel, but his injury has called time on any faint hopes he may have had.

England attacking midfielder options:

It is clear that his misfortune hasn’t made him bitter or jealous, as he continues to show love on social media to his Three Lions teammates.

Saka is just the latest example of that from Grealish, who is a true model of being a true professional at this stage of his career.

Will Grealish echo Saka and sign new contract at Everton?

Saka has pledged another five years of his career to the Gunners and looks destined to stick around at the Emirates for the foreseeable.

There will be hopes that Grealish will do something similar at Everton in the summer, even after his surgery was confirmed.

That could ultimately play into Moyes’ hands moving forward, as a return to Manchester City looks increasingly unlikely for the Englishman.

The Toffees will hope they can keep hold of the attacking midfielder moving forward for his ability on the pitch and his obvious class away from it.
