Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall good value to achieve 47-year first in Everton vs Man United
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been a phenomenal signing for Everton.
His £30million move from Chelsea was perhaps questioned at first, but he has slotted into the starting line-up brilliantly, playing just behind striker Thierno Barry in attacking midfield.
Something that was not associated with Dewsbury-Hall in the past was his attacking threat, although his total of five Premier League goals is already the best in his career so far.
It’s clear that he has become one of the Toffees’ most important players, and he’ll be relishing the opportunity to score another pivotal goal against Man United at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in prime position to score vs Man United again
Dewsbury-Hall scored Everton’s winner against Man Utd in the reverse fixture on 24 November, curling a brilliant effort past Senne Lammens.
The last English player to score in both of the Toffees’ league meetings with the Red Devils in the same season was Andy King in 1978-79.
Although it is never easy to score against the Red Devils, Dewsbury-Hall’s current form shows that he is capable of repeating his heroics in November and matching that 47-year achievement.
Dewsbury-Hall’s energy and dynamism in the middle of the park are exactly what Everton needed to add in the summer, and David Moyes should get a lot of credit for getting the best out of the 27-year-old.
He scored a brilliant equaliser against Fulham on 7 February and spearheaded their comeback at Craven Cottage.
With five goals and two assists in 19 top-flight appearances, he is finally starting to gain wider recognition, and there is no reason suggest that he can’t have a big influence on Monday night’s game.

The Sofascore graphic above shows how impressive he’s been, and Thomas Tuchel will undoubtedly be thinking about calling him up to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Is Dewsbury-Hall in contention for an England call-up?
Dewsbury-Hall has the ability and dedication to be a perfect fit for the England squad, and he certainly has the potential to make a late push in the coming months.
Of course, there is a lot of competition in attacking midfield, with Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rogers and Eberechi Eze all expected to be on the plane to North America.
However, Dewsbury-Hall is easily one of the most versatile English players in Europe, and there’s no reason why Tuchel can’t give him a chance for the next international break in March.
The 27-year-old has to keep up his form for the next few months if he wants to be in with a shout, but there’s no evidence to suggest that he’ll be slowing down any time soon.
A goal against Man United will reiterate that point, and his future for both club and country is very promising.
